On August 9, 2025, Professor Di Wu, Executive Deputy Director of the National Engineering Research Center for E-Learning (NERCEL) and the National Engineering Research Center for Educational Big Data (NERC-EBD), was invited to China Education Television, where he provided an in-depth interpretation of how to enhance the digital literacy of vocational education teachers amid the wave of digital transformation.

On July 2, 2025, the General Office of the ‌Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China ‌(MOE) issued a Notice on Organizing the Implementation of the Action to Empower Teacher Development through Digitalization. The introduction of this policy marks a new stage in the development of China’s teaching workforce which is formally empowered by digitalization. Correspondingly, how exactly does digitalization empower teacher development? Does it bring new challenges to the competency enhancement of vocational school teachers? Professor Di Wu, Deputy Director of NERCEL and NERC-EBD, together with Professor Xibin Han from Tsinghua University, was invited by the Vocational Education China program on China Education Television to explore these questions in depth.
