Multiple Faculty Members from Our University Named to 2025 World’s Top 2% Scientists List

Stanford University and the internationally renowned academic publisher Elsevier have jointly released the 2025 World’s Top 2% Scientists list. Based on authoritative citation data from the Scopus database, the list evaluates key metrics , such as total citations, h-index, hm-index, and citation performance of single-author and first-authored papers. It identifies top-tier scholars with outstanding academic influence from nearly 7 million researchers worldwide.

Specifically, 17 scholars from our university have been included in the “Career-Long Impact” list, while 38 scholars have been named to the “Single-Year Impact” list for 2025.

Being listed signifies that these scholars have achieved considerable global academic influence in their respective fields. This recognition fully reflects the effectiveness of our university’s discipline development and the strength of its research endeavors, while also contributing to further enhancing the university’s global reputation.

According to statistics, a total of 12,374 scholars from China were included in the Career-Long Impact ranking, with 31,685 scholars making it to the 2025 Single-Year Impact list.
