Jianwen Sun is a professor and doctoral supervisor at Central China Normal University (CCNU), Wuhan, China.  He received his Ph.D. in Educational Technology from CCNU. His research focuses on Educational Data Mining, Educational Large Language Models, and AI for Learning Sciences.

Professor Sun has led more than 10 initiatives, including the National Science and Technology Major Project, National Natural Science Foundation of China, Subtask of the Major Project of National Social Science Foundation of China for Educational Sciences, and Youth Al Talents Fund of the Chinese Association of Automation under Major Program. He has authored over 50 papers in top-tier international journals and conferences such as Nature Computational Science, SCIENCE CHINA Information Sciences, ACM/IEEE Trans, AAAI, ACM MM, AIED, CIKM, EMNLP, KDD, NeurIPS, WWW, etc.

At CCNU, Professor Sun serves as the Center’s Deputy Director for research management of natural sciences and daily operations of the Nanhu Campus office.

Professor Sun is also the Deputy Director of the Primary and Secondary School Information Technology Education Professional Committee of Chinese Society of Education, Deputy Secretary-General of the Research Association of Learning Sciences of Chinese Association of Higher Education, Deputy Secretary-General of the Smart Education Professional Committee of Chinese Association of Automation, and Academic Secretary for the annual conference of F0701 discipline of National Natural Science Foundation of China.
