Xinguo Yu, Professor, Master’s and PhD Supervisor at the National Engineering  Research Center for E-Learning, Central China Normal University. Honorary Fellow at  the University of Wollongong, Australia. President of the Hubei Society of Artificial Intelligence for Research and Education. Senior Member of IEEE, ACM and CCF. He obtained his PhD degree in Computer Science from the National University of  Singapore. 

With over 30 years of research experience, including 18 years in Singapore, has worked in research areas of intelligent educational technology, multimedia technology, artificial intelligent for research, video analysis, computer vision, and human-computer interaction. His current research focuses on AI for Education, AI for Research; Educational Agents, Educational Robots, Intelligent Systems in Education and  Research. He leads a team to work on these areas and his team has more 10 national projects in the past five years. This team develops an approach to solve the mathematical exercise problems and achieves the world-wise recognition. During the past 12 years, he has hosted six national projects, which are 3 national nature science projects, two talent training projects and 1 social science project. 

He has published over 200 papers in authoritative domestic and international journals and well-known international conferences, including more than 30 SCI papers, with over 80 papers as the first author. He holds 7 international patents and 15 domestic patents. He served as the Associate Editor and Guest Editor of several International Journals. He is also a reviewer for more than 20 internationally renowned journals and top international conferences. He has chaired more than 30 international conferences. He founded the International Conference on Intelligent Education and Intelligent  Research (IEIR) in the field of intelligent education and intelligent research.
